Who I am

I’m an award-winning travel writer from Ireland specialising in the areas of sustainable travel, slow tourism, and wildlife. A language graduate with a grá for galavanting, I began travel writing while working for a non-profit in South Africa and have been on the road since.

Where you’ll find me

For the last ten years, I’ve been living and travelling across the world working as a travel contributor for titles such as The Boston GlobeMen’s JournalMen’s Health, Maxim and Condé Nast Traveller. In Ireland, you’ll find me as a regular contributor with the Irish Independent, the Irish Examiner and Aer Lingus’ Cara magazine. I also pop up a contributor to RTÉ Radio and am a resident travel expert on Virgin Media’s Ireland Am.

I also work and create content for a broad range of organisations, from Discover Niagara Falls USA to the Global Health division of Massachusetts General Hospital.

My jam

Sustainable travel is my thing. Whether I’m wild-camping in South Dakota or road-tripping in Iceland, I embrace slow-tourism and (hopefully) the most ethical route to experience it.
